Three Gates is very well placed for awide variety of activities - from spending a day on horseback to fossil hunting.

In the local area you can visit the
National Trust properties at
Knightshayes and Killerton, shop at
Bickleigh Mill and ride the little trains a the Devonshire Railway Centre, or get lost in the Maize Maze (summer only). Whilst shopping in Tiverton call in at the refurbished Pannier Market, visit Tiverton Castle or learn more about the local history at the Tiverton Museum. You can race quad bikes at Quad World, drive real diggers at Diggerland, or have fun all day at Creely Adventure Park. If you enjoy clay pigeon shooting or fancy having a go then you couldn't do better than to book a session at the Shaldon Shooting School. Why not hire bikes and cycle along the picturesque Grand Western Canal or take a leisurely trip on a horse drawn barge. You could also go horse riding or visit nearby Exmoor and its pretty towns such as Dulverton and Dunster. There's plenty to do on the moor such as falconry, go on safari, pony trekking, walking and cycling.
Further afield the coasts of north and south Devon, Somerset and Dorset are definately worth a visit. To the north there are the beautiful sandy beaches at Croyde, Woolacombe, and Saunton and to the south the fascinating jurassic coast - lose a few hours fossil hunting at Lyme Regis. While on the south coast pay a visit to the Donkey Sanctury, take a ride on the Seaton Trams or have fun at Pecorama.
