Three Gates is a converted 17th century farm, situated close to Exmoor and the perfect location for a relaxing holiday deep in the heart of the tranquil Devon countryside, but still within easy reach of the M5 motorway. You can either come to relax and enjoy this peaceful situation or our location in the Devonshire Heartland makes this an ideal spot from which to explore the north and south coasts, Exmoor, Dartmoor and all that Devon and Somerset have to offer.
The five stone barns, The Smithy (sleeps 6), The Long Barn (sleeps 5/6), The Granary (sleeps 4), Pooks Corner (sleeps 4) and Ducks End (sleeps 2), have all been renovated in keeping with their original style to provide holiday accommodation to a very high standard. We have an English Tourism Council 4 star grading and were last inspected in January 2007.
The cottages are situated in two acres of grounds, with safely fenced pond, children's play area, indoor games, a sauna, fitness room and a superb indoor heated swimming pool. The holiday cottages have been renovated with care to provide all year round comfort. They are equiped with colour televisions, dvds, digiboxes, dishwashers, refrigerators, freezers (apart from Duck's End which has conventional fridge with freezer compartment), electric cookers, microwaves, full kitchen equipment and accessories and are supplied with natural filtered spring water. Cots and high chairs are available and electricity, linen, towels, and the use of the laundry room and all other facilities are supplied free of charge.
Three Gates can be found 3 miles from the popular village of Bampton. Enjoy a meal at the Quarryman's Arms or shop for your supper in the butchers, the bakers and the greengrocers - a refreshing change from the supermarket. There is a selection of pubs and restaurants in Bampton if you fancy a night off cooking!
Well behaved dogs are welcome to stay at Three Gates. Your pet must be kept on a lead whilst in Three Gates grounds and not left alone in the cottages. If your pet is used to sitting on furniture at home please bring covers. A surcharge is made to cover the cost of any extra wear and tear.
We operate a non-smoking. Ashtrays are provided for smoking in external areas such as patios and gardens. Thank you.
